All Go!

The gym is opening back up for outdoor sessions this week in accordance with the country’s Covid guidance.

Archery is also able to start back up again.

With the improvement of weather I’ve taken up a marathon training plan, so am running to a schedule again.

I’m also trying to get out on my bike and build my distance and speed back up when the weather permits (I’m a fair-weather cyclist).

I’ve had a small promotion at work and I’ve just been accepted as a member of a committee for the first time.

I’ve started a certified training program, and am so far doing pretty well at making the time to do it.

I’m not quite managing to do my ‘3 things’ goal every day, but I do feel that the process is helping me to get things done.

I’m also reaching the end of my current book and am researching for what I want to read next to keep the momentum going there.

It feels a bit like it’s ‘all go!’ at the minute, which is a lovely feeling because I also don’t feel particularly overwhelmed or stretched thin.

(Although I am definitely procrastinating a fair amount, which is frustrating)

I’m looking forward to bringing things back to a bit more normality over the next few weeks as things begin to reopen.

I’m also feeling anxious about it, in the same way that I did after the first lockdown.

Doing a formal learning course for the first time in years, and joining a committee are good steps for my self development and will give me good additional skills and experience.

But this is also new experiences and pressure, so these also have me feeling a bit anxious in different ways.

I’ve got a bit of time off work during Easter, and although I won’t be able to do what I normally would to celebrate Easter, I’m definitely looking forward to a bit of a break.

It’s nice to feel that positive movement and see my efforts coming together, but what I don’t want is to get overwhelmed with everything happening at once and then stop making progress.

As discussed in my last post, momentum and consistency are where I’m trying to keep my actions.

With set plans in progress and bringing back some of the accountability of the gym, I’m hoping to be able to keep moving with it all.

Particularly with the weather getting better and it being lighter through the day.

Hopefully in two weeks I’ll be able to tell you that everything is still moving in the right direction and I’m getting closer to me goals.

And for now I’ll try and enjoy that it’s ‘All Go!’
